Testing the Pre-Tests
To recreate or diagnose problems with the e-Lab Pre-Tests, you'll need to take the test yourself. The test is usually available only to students, however.
Log in as the Test Teacher (ask around if you don't know the username and password).
Create a new research group. Choose "Registration" from the main banner, and then "Register Student Research Groups."
Put in placeholder First and Last Names, then choose "Make New Group."
You'll be asked for a new Group Name. Enter a placeholder name. On the right, there should now be a pencil icon with a checkbox. Make sure the checkbox is checked. This is how teachers indicate that they want a newly-created group to take the Pre-Test.
Click "I'm done." If successful, you'll get a new page with the Group Name and password. Take note of them.
Log out of Test Teacher, and login as the group you just created (User Name is the Group Name).
You should see a page telling you you need to take the Pre-Test. Click on the link to do so.
